Queen Camilla, King Charles, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, gather in Scotland ahead of royal reunion in Balmoral
The royal family have flocked to Scotland over the past few days, as they look to kick off a summer of rest and relaxation in Balmoral. King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, have all been spotted north of the border – with Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly set to join them later this summer.
The Queen was the picture of low-key elegance in the village of Ballater, where she spent her Sunday enjoying a lunch with family. Donning a green down jacket and navy suede pumps, the 77-year-old was seen with her children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, along with a group of her grandchildren. Tom, 49, and Laura, 46, are the Queen’s children from her first marriage, to retired army officer Andrew Parker Bowles.
Camilla is known to be very close with her grandchildren, who affectionately refer to the Queen as ‘Gaga’.
