King Calls For Unity in Wake of Riots

King Charles held a phone audience with the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, this evening, in light of the wave of violence and disruption that has swept across the UK..





 King Charles expressed his "heartfelt thanks" to the emergency services in separate phone calls with Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, and police bosses on Friday evening.. 



 The King said he praised their efforts to "restore peace" and shared how he was "greatly encouraged" by the examples of community spirit that had "countered the aggression and criminality". 




 A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "In addition to the private calls His Majesty has been making throughout the week concerning recent events - and in particular the impact they have had on affected communities - this evening The King held a phone audience with the Prime Minister, and additionally had a joint call with the Chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), Chief Constable Gavin Stephens, and UK Gold Commander Ben Harrington, Chief Constable of Essex..
