Image
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has suggested that the Duke of York could be ousted by year's end, particularly since Charles has stripped him of his security detail. Speaking on TalkTV, she revealed: "The King is thinking long term and might want this property that he spent so much time with the Queen Mother in to leave for Queen Camilla, in case the worst happens. Andrew moved into the 31-room mansion, which he rents for £260,000 a year under a 75-year lease, with his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie in 2003. His loyal ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, joined him in 2008.  Ms Schofield further claimed that "Prince Andrew is right now a waste of resources" and that the King will argue that Andrew is not maintaining the property as per the 75-year lease, and should therefore be evicted. The lease requires the Duke to carry out repairs and allows him to pass the property on to his children... Read more

The Queen is stepping away from her end-of-summer-holiday for a Saturday at the York Racecourse

Image
On Aug. 24, the Queen, 77, visited the Ebor Festival at York Racecourse in York, England to open the new Bustardthorpe Development complex. King Charles' wife was announced as patron of the York Racecourse in May and made her first public appearance in the new royal role on the fourth and final day of the horse racing festival.  It's somewhat unusual for a working royal like Queen Camilla to make a working engagement in late August, as Queen Elizabeth traditionally cleared that period on her calendar for summer respites at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The King, 75, also stepped away from his Balmoral holiday to undertake an important engagement, visiting Southport earlier this week, where three children were killed at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in late July. He also privately spent time with their families at Clarence House, his London home, the following day.  At the York Racecourse, Queen Camilla was welcomed by the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Jo Ropner, and o...

But sources now say the King has drawn comfort from the guidance of spiritual leaders while coming to terms with his new role, and the death of his parents, The Mail on Sunday reported.  An insider claimed that the monarch took 'spiritual nourishment' from talks with religious leaders, adding: "Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role... I can feel this community and this is the feeling that is the best thing right now.” Later that day, she even served as translator for Harry as the pair spoke to concertgoers at the Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival. Real reason’ King Charles wants to evict Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge

Image
There is speculation the Royal Lodge could be home to another royal in future if Prince Andrew is evicted from his home in Windsor.  Last year it emerged that Prince Andrew, 64, could not meet the £400,000-a-year upkeep costs of the 30-bedroom home, which is thought to be worth £30million and now King Charles is said to be withdrawing private funding for security on the estate which currently costs £3 million a year.   This means that unless the Duke of York can generate the financial resources to pay for repairs the property needs, as well as foot the security bill, he could be faced with being evicted from the property.  The Daily Mail's diary editor has claimed there could be another reason for planning to remove Andrew from his home. Writing in his column for the Daily Mail he said: "Intriguingly, more than one friend of the Yorks has suggested the same theory to me as to why this eviction ‘campaign’ has begun: could it be that the King sees Royal Lodge as a pote...

King Charles earns $25 million a year, Prince William takes home $30.4 million; here's how much British Royals make

Image
The British Royals are often in the news for some controversy. Though they dedicate their lives to public service, they do earn money from various dedicated sources.  According to the BBC, the monarch’s main source of income arrives from a taxpayer-funded settlement known as the Sovereign Grant, which is paid annually.   The Sovereign Grant for 2022-23 was worth 86.3 million English pounds, the same amount as was granted in 2021-2022. The Sovereign Grant is divided not only into allowances to the royals but also on property upkeep and staff costs.  According to a report by US Weekly Magazine citing the National Audit Office, the royal family conducts over 2,500 events per year, estimated to cost a total of 369 million British pounds, and all the expenses are done with the Sovereign Grant.  Apart from personal expenses, King Charles III also received an allowance called a Privy Purse, which comes from the Duchy of Lancaster. King Charles is making the ‘radical move’ to axe Prince Andrew's security at the royal home

Image
King Charles is thought to have significantly escalated his spat with Prince Andrew in what is being called ‘the siege of Royal Lodge’. It has long been an open secret that the King wants the Duke of York to leave the £30 million estate, considering it inappropriately extravagant for Andrew, who was stripped of his working royal status in the wake of his friendship with convicted paedophile Jefferey Epstein. The Duke, however, has refused to move out of the Windsor home, which he shares with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.  Now, according to MailOnline, King Charles has reportedly stripped Prince Andrew of his 10-person security team. The guards have been informed that their contracts will not be extended into the Autumn, sources have said.
