Prince William has reportedly made up his mind and wants to trim down the monarchy, but a new report shows that his methods also involve cutting staff from the Duchy of Cornwall, the royal family's 700-year-old estate. According to this year's Integrated Annual Report, the royal family decided not to re-hire Queen Camilla's sister, Annabel Elliot, who worked as an interior designer on the Duchy of Cornwall payroll. While she previously was working on the royal family's vacation homes, she was no longer employed by the royals from 2023 through 2024.
William, who holds the titles Duke of Cornwall and Prince of Wales, was put in charge of the Duchy of Cornwall in 2019, when King Charles III granted him the title and its responsibilities.

"Sources confirmed that Prince William would no longer employ Ms. Elliot, although it was no reflection on her work," The Telegraph reported yesterday.
